Branson Storm Damage Roof Repair From People Who Live Here

Three Trucks From Out of State Just Parked on Your Street.

Big Chief Exteriors handles storm damage roof repair, emergency roof repair, and hail damage roof repair across the Ozarks. We document everything for your insurance, we'll tell you when there's no damage, and we'll still be at 117 Calvin Drive in year six.

Local Credentials, Not a Magnetic Door Sign

The Storm Lasts Twenty Minutes. The Knocking Lasts Six Weeks.

Hail comes through, and by the next afternoon your street looks different. Yard signs you've never seen. Trucks with plates from four states away parked at the end of the block. Somebody's at your door with a clipboard saying they noticed damage from the road, and could they just take a quick look, and if you'd sign right here they can get started with your insurance today. Then another one shows up an hour later saying something similar. By the weekend you've talked to six people and you can't remember which was which.

Here's what makes it genuinely hard. Some of those folks are perfectly good roofers who travel for work. Some of them will be unreachable by Christmas. From your porch they look identical, and the paper they want you to sign right now is usually a contingency agreement, which can tie you to that company if the claim gets approved. Meanwhile your actual questions go unanswered. Is my roof even damaged? Should I file at all? What's this going to cost me? Good Branson storm damage roof repair starts with somebody answering those three questions before anybody asks you to sign anything.

“Before Vela, approvals felt vague. Now there’s a clear moment when everything is agreed on, and I can move forward with confidence.”

These guys were amazing! I own several homes and rarely do I see service of this caliber. The bid was very honest and reasonable. We decided to move forward and within a few days there were at our house working from dawn until dusk. The job site was always clean and the men were always very respectful and kind. It’s companies and men like this that made America great. You should look no further than Big Chief Exteriors.

I'm Tyler. I Ran That Playbook. That's How I Know It.

I'm Tyler Arnold, and I'm not going to pretend I'm above this. We started as Big Chief Roofing and we chased storms like everybody else. I've knocked those doors. I know exactly what the script sounds like, which is why I can tell you what to listen for. Watch for urgency that doesn't come from your roof. Watch for anybody who wants a signature before they've shown you a single photo. Watch for a company that can't tell you where their office is. None of those things make somebody a crook, but all three together should slow you way down.

We got out of that business because I got tired of a company that only ate when the sky beat up my neighbors. What we do now is simple. We climb up, photograph everything, and tell you the truth about what we find, and sometimes the truth is that your roof came through it fine. Filing a claim on a roof with no real damage can go on your record for nothing, so we'll say so. When there is damage, we document it properly and hand you a clear report. And when your shingles do something weird in year six, our address hasn't changed.

Three Promises We'll Still Be Around to Keep

The Fix It or Refund It Guarantee

If the storm repair or replacement we did fails because of our work, we're back out to fix it fast. No prorating. No trip charges. Nobody blaming the storm, the manufacturer, or a crew that's since left town. And if we can't make it right, you get your money back. Every single cent. A warranty only counts if the company still exists, and we're not going anywhere.

The $250 Price Match Guarantee

Bring us a written bid from another licensed and insured company covering the same scope, materials, and warranty. We'll match it and hand you $250 in cash for finding a competitor we hadn't heard about. What we will never do is offer to cover your deductible. Anybody making that offer is proposing insurance fraud, and it puts you at risk, not just them.

The Cleanup Guarantee

Storm work means nails, torn shingles, and debris scattered across a yard that's already had a rough week. Our crews are paid on the cleanup. We tarp, run magnets across the whole yard and driveway, haul everything off, and sweep twice. Find a nail in the next year and text us the photo. We'll show up with a magnet and donuts.

“Professionalism was evident throughout the entire process from initial estimate to project completion. We were so pleased with the deck restoration we had them back for our gutter replacement. We really appreciated the communication with Tyler explaining the process in detail. Best part was price was reasonable. Definitely a 5- star company!! Will do business again.”

What Neighbors Say After the Storm Season

What We Handle After a Storm

Storms do four different kinds of damage and each one gets handled differently. Here's what we do and when it applies.

Storm Damage Roof Repair

Wind and debris damage, which is usually more obvious than hail. Lifted or missing shingles, creased tabs that will fail later even though they're still up there, torn ridge cap, damaged flashing, and limb strikes. Storm damage roof repair is often a partial repair rather than a full roof, and we'll show you the photos that back up whichever one we recommend.

Emergency Roof Repair

When water is coming in right now. Emergency roof repair means getting you tarped and dried in so the inside of your house stops taking damage, then coming back for the permanent fix once weather allows. Same-day and next-day response through storm season, with a real callback after hours instead of a ticket number and a wait.

Hail Damage Roof Repair

Hail is sneakier than wind. The bruises it leaves knock granules loose and shorten shingle life without leaking for years, which is why it's hard to spot from the ground. We check the roof, and also the soft metals like gutters, downspouts, vents, and window screens, because those often show the story more clearly than the shingles do.

Insurance Claim Roofing

The paperwork side. We document damage with dated photos, write a clear scope your adjuster can actually read, and meet the adjuster at your house when that helps. We'll explain how your deductible works and what your policy terms mean in plain words. We don't negotiate your policy for you, since Missouri leaves that between you and your carrier, but nothing gets missed on our watch.

“Very open and honest. Encouraged me to get other bids as well. They were not only the best-priced but also the most organized and open about our plans and options to take. The workers were clean and quick and did everything they could to protect the property. Tyler even came out himself to magnet the driveway so we wouldn’t drive over nails each night bc I have an EV that charges in the garage. Excellent experience! Big Chief definitely goes above and beyond.”

Counties We Run Storm Calls In

We're based in Branson and cover a wide piece of southwest Missouri. Storms don't hit these counties the same way, and after enough seasons the patterns get familiar.

  • Taney County

Branson, Hollister, Forsyth, Rockaway Beach, Kirbyville, and Merriam Woods. Taney County storm damage roof repair often means wind and limb damage near Table Rock and Lake Taneycomo, where heavy tree cover turns branches into projectiles. Rentals and cabins get priority scheduling so a damaged roof doesn't sit through a booked weekend.

  • Stone County

Kimberling City, Reeds Spring, Branson West, Galena, Crane, and Blue Eye. Stone County storm damage roof repair on exposed ridge and lake lots is usually wind rather than hail. Shingles crease and lift at the edges, and creased shingles are real damage even when nothing blew off. That's the thing people underestimate up there.

    Learn More
  • Barry County

Cassville, Monett, Purdy, Shell Knob, Exeter, and Wheaton. Our Barry County storm damage roof repair work covers farms, shops, and lake property spread over a lot of ground. Metal roofs take storms differently than shingles, so we check fasteners, seams, and flashing rather than looking for missing pieces.

    Learn More
  • Christian County

Nixa, Ozark, Sparta, Clever, and Highlandville. Christian County storm damage roof repair calls spike here because this stretch catches a lot of hail. Whole subdivisions file at once, adjusters get backed up, and out-of-town crews arrive within a day. We'd rather you take an extra week and pick carefully.

  • Lawrence County

Aurora, Mt. Vernon, Marionville, Pierce City, and Verona. Lawrence County storm damage roof repair is one of our most common calls, since storms coming up from the southwest tend to drop their worst along here. We check the gutters and window screens too, because soft metal tells you whether the hail was big enough to matter.

Storm and Claim Questions People Ask Us

  • A storm just came through. What should I do first?

Take photos from the ground of anything obvious, including dented gutters, screens, and debris in the yard. If water is coming inside, move things and call us right away for emergency roof repair. Then get an inspection before you call your insurance company, so you're calling with information instead of a guess.

  • How do I know if my roof actually has damage?

Mostly you can't tell from the ground, and that's the honest answer. Missing shingles are easy. Hail bruising and creased shingles are not, and both matter. A good check includes the soft metals, since a dented gutter or a pocked window screen tells you the hail was large enough to hurt shingles. We do that inspection free whether you hire us or not.

  • Should I file an insurance claim?

Not always, and we'll tell you when we don't think you should. If the damage is minor and the repair costs less than your deductible, filing gets you nothing and puts a claim on your record. If it's real damage across the roof, filing is the right move. Get the inspection first so you're deciding with facts.

  • Somebody knocked on my door after the storm. How do I check them out?

Fair question and you should ask it of us too. Ask where their office is and whether you can drive there. Ask for their Missouri license and insurance certificate. Search their reviews. And don't sign anything at the door before you've seen photos of your own roof. Anybody pushing a signature before the pictures is telling you what matters to them.

  • Will you cover or waive my deductible?

No, and be careful with anybody who offers to. Your deductible is your part of the agreement with your insurance company. A contractor offering to eat it is proposing something that can be treated as insurance fraud, and you'd be part of it. We'd rather lose the job than put you in that spot.

  • What's the difference between ACV and RCV?

Actual cash value pays what the roof is worth today, with age and wear taken out. Replacement cost value pays to replace it, usually in two parts, with the rest released after the work is done. Which one you have is written in your policy, and it changes your out of pocket a great deal. We'll help you find it in the paperwork.

  • How long do I have to file a storm claim?

Policies set their own deadlines and they vary, so check yours or call your agent. What we can tell you is that waiting causes problems beyond the deadline. Damage gets harder to attribute to a specific storm the longer it sits, and untreated damage lets water in, which can complicate the claim.

  • What if my claim gets denied?

It happens, and it isn't always the end of it. You can ask your carrier for the adjuster's report and request a re-inspection. We'll provide our documentation and photos to support your file. If the denial stands and the damage is real, we'll give you honest repair options that fit what you can actually spend.
