I'm Tyler. Here's Why We Built This.
I'm Tyler Arnold, and I own this thing. We started out in roofing, chasing storms like everybody else in this trade does. It worked, but I got tired of running a company that only made money when the sky beat up my neighbors. So we widened out and now we're a Branson exterior remodeling contractor doing the whole outside of your house. Roofs, gutters, siding, windows and doors, decks, and paint. Six trades, one crew, one phone number, and nobody pointing fingers at the other guy when something needs fixed.
The other decision we made early was to stop hiding. We put our name on the trucks and our faces on the videos. We homeschool our kids and teach them to take pride in their work. We knock doors instead of buying leads from a website that sold the same lead to four other companies. We sponsor ball teams and community events because our kids play in them. We hand out yard signs because a sign in your neighbor's yard is worth more than any ad I could run. You'll hear us on the radio and see us at community events, usually because our kids dragged us there first. All of that only works one way, which is by doing the job right, because in a town this size you cannot hide from a bad review. Erin runs the family calendar, homeschools the kids, and holds the whole operation upright while Tyler is out being Tyler. Every single thing this company manages to pull off traces back to her somewhere. She is the reason there's a business here at all, and she'd never say that out loud, so we're saying it for her.

Questions About Us
Who owns Big Chief Exteriors?
Tyler Arnold owns it, and his wife Erin runs a great deal of what makes it work. It's a family business in the plain sense of the phrase. The kids are around the office more than any labor board would prefer, and Tyler's name is the one on the truck, the paperwork, and the door.
Where did the name Big Chief come from?
It started back in our roofing days and it stuck. What it means now is the promise we build everything around. Every project gets one Chief, which is one person who owns your job start to finish and gives you their actual cell number.
Are you a local company or a franchise?
Local, and not remotely a franchise. We're at 117 Calvin Drive in Branson. Our kids are homeschooled here. The phone number hasn't changed. If you have a problem in year six, you can drive to our office and find a person standing in it, which is not something an out-of-state crew with a magnetic door sign can offer.
What does "Everybody gets a Chief" actually mean?
One person owns your project from the first handshake to the last sweep of the driveway. You get their name and their cell number. You don't get transferred, you don't re-explain your situation to a stranger, and you don't chase anybody down. That one idea is most of what separates us from a bigger company.
What areas do you serve?
Taney, Stone, Barry, Christian, and Lawrence counties. That covers Branson, Hollister, Forsyth, Kimberling City, Branson West, Reeds Spring, Nixa, Ozark, Cassville, Monett, Shell Knob, Aurora, Mt. Vernon, and a lot of gravel roads in between.
Are you licensed and insured, and how long have you been doing this?
Yes, licensed and insured in Missouri, and we'll hand you the certificate before you think to ask. We've been running under this name and this phone number since 2024, and roofing came first before we widened into everything else outside.
Somebody from Big Chief knocked on my door. Is that legit?
Probably, and it's a fair question to ask. We do knock doors, mostly after storms and in neighborhoods where we're already working. Our people wear Big Chief shirts, drive marked trucks, and will hand you a card with a name on it. They will never ask for money at your door, and they will never tell you a price expires tonight. If somebody claiming to be us does either of those things, call the office and tell Kayla.
Why hire a small local company instead of a big one?
Sometimes you shouldn't, and we'll say that plainly. A big company has more crews and can sometimes start sooner. What you get here instead is the owner's name on the work, a Chief who answers the phone, and a business that cannot afford one bad job because everybody in this town talks. Pick whichever of those matters more to you.
