Preparing for your project.

• Join your pre-construction call and share anything fragile, hidden or unusual about your property
• Confirm your colors and product choices with your project manager
• Tell your project manager about gates, narrow drives, HOA rules or shared roads
• Share dates that matter, such as guest bookings or events

• Move cars out of the driveway and away from the work area
• Move patio furniture, grills, planters and decorations away from the house
• Clear toys, bikes, trash cans and hoses from around the house
• Mark sprinkler heads, lights and anything buried near the work
• Point out delicate plants, garden beds and anything you want protected
• Keep a clear path for the crew and for materials

Hammering and tear-off can shake walls and ceilings, especially during roofing.

• Take pictures, mirrors and shelf items off exterior walls
• Clear fragile items from shelves and display cabinets near exterior walls
• Move anything stored in the attic away from the roof area, or cover it
• Cover or move items in the attic and upper floors that dust would hurt
• Clear a few feet around windows and doors we are replacing
• Open or remove blinds, curtains and window treatments on windows being replaced
• Unplug or move electronics on exterior walls

• Plan where pets will be during the loudest work, away from the house if possible
• Make sure gates and doors stay closed so pets stay safe
• Plan quieter space for remote work, naps and young children
• Tell neighbors about the work so noise and parked trucks are not a surprise

• Check your project manager's text for the start time and the plan
• Do a final walk around the outside and move anything still in the way
• Make sure we have a number that reaches you if something comes up
