Local process / HOA approval
How do you get an exterior project approved by your HOA?
By Tyler Arnold, Owner, Big Chief Exteriors
Most Branson-area communities want to see the materials, colors and drawings before you build. The approval goes fastest when the application is complete the first time.
The steps
From covenants to approval letter.
- 01
Read your covenants
Your community's covenants and design guidelines say which exterior changes need approval and what materials and colors are allowed.
- 02
Gather the details
Collect the product names, color choices, and a drawing or rendering. We prepare these for you.
- 03
Submit the application
Send the application to your HOA or architectural committee, and ask how long review takes.
- 04
Keep the approval letter
Once approved, we schedule the work. The letter goes into your Home Passport with your colors and products.

The information a committee asks for.
- Product names, manufacturer details and color samples
