Screened porch and four-season room cost in the Ozarks (2026)

Tyler Arnold

By , Owner, Big Chief Exteriors

A screened porch costs less than a four-season room because it needs no insulated walls or finished interior. Size, roof style and finishes decide the rest.

The short answer

Screened porches average $30 to $85 per square foot. Four-season rooms average $125 to $200.

Enclosing an existing patio is at the low end of each range. Building new from the ground up is at the high end.

What changes the price

Screened or four-season
A screened-in patio keeps bugs out in warm months. A four-season room adds insulated walls, windows from NT Windows and finished drywall for year-round use.
Size and structure
Engineered footings, posts and beams are sized to the room. We match the roof to the house and add gutters.
Roof and ceiling style
A lodge roof with a cathedral ceiling or a tongue-and-groove ceiling adds cost.
Comfort add-ons
Fans, lighting, heaters, a ductless mini-split, a composite floor and TV pre-wire are add-ons.

Always included

  • Engineered footings, posts and beams
